Bitso posted today that $HYPE rose about 15% on a reported plan by ICE, owner of the NYSE, to bring Hyperliquid perps to the US (post).
The plan as reported in Telegram channels is that ICE is investing in trade[XYZ] and teaming up with it to bring 24/7 Hyperliquid perpetual futures to the US (Rickler Feed), with its own clearing, KYC and AML on Hyperliquid infrastructure, covering stocks, indices, commodities and currencies, pending regulatory approval (BredoStrategy).
HYPE itself was quoting around $95.05 on Binance spot at 17:20 UTC, up 18.5% in 24h, with other spot venues at $94.94-$95.05 (cex quotes). That is above the "about 15%" in the Bitso headline, and later chats put the daily gain at almost 20% (Capital News).
Chatter also ties the move to billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller saying he invested in trade[xyz] and Elon Musk replying "Interesting", plus a claim that Hyperliquid Strategies stock rose on the news (markettwits). These are channel claims, not verified trades.
