Moscow Exchange (MOEX): is crypto trading starting on 1 December 2026? Per RBC, the exchange plans to launch it on 1 December. The product list and investor eligibility are not stated in the reports found.
What was said
On 8 October, MarketTwits reported, citing RBC, that Boris Blokhin said the exchange plans to launch crypto trading on 1 December. Blokhin is MOEX's senior managing director for sales and business development. He spoke on the sidelines of the "Настоящее будущее" investment forum organised by SberInvestments. The same line was repeated by runews on X and other Telegram channels. All of them trace back to the one RBC report.
Earlier signal
On 16 September, MarketTwits cited RBC Investments quoting Sergey Shvetsov. He said MOEX would be technologically ready to launch crypto trading by 1 December. Trading would run in both quasi-dollars and rubles, depending on the instrument. So the date has been consistent for about three weeks, and it is described as a plan, not a firm commitment.
