Soneium announced today, Oct. 26, 2026, its plan to issue $SONEIUM, an ecosystem-native token to connect creators, IP owners, builders, fans and investors across its onchain entertainment economy with 250+ apps (thread).
The token has not been issued and TGE timing was not given. The team says further details on $SONEIUM and its token generation event will be announced at a later date, with no offer or solicitation yet (blog). No airdrop for existing users was announced.
The same announcement introduces Tokenized IP: IP Tokens that can represent a creator, studio or title as collectibles for fandom or fungible tokens as the currency inside an IP economy, plus IP Vault for royalty-backed assets and Tokenized IP Bond backed by entertainment businesses.
It launches with Moriusa, the purple rabbit character IP from Tokyo-based Super State Holdings, for merch, animated shorts and licensing, with a portal listing teasing an announcement Thursday, Nov. 5 (portal).
For music, Soneium partnered with K-pop IP holder DayOneDream, managing BTOB, LEE CHAE YEON, MEMI and 2F, to bring concert-business royalties onchain as Tokenized IP Bonds.
Underneath is a three-layer IP architecture of IP Registry, IP Graph and Execution Layer for programmable royalties and licensing, supporting ERC-8432, plus a planned base gas fee adjustment. Discovery and participation run via Soneium Portal with Startale App as gateway.
