Claude Duet is a personal AI agent in a standalone app that checks your inbox and calendar for work needing attention, takes on tasks, and continues working while you’re away. Anthropic announced a research preview with a waitlist on October 21, 2026. Anthropic’s announcement says Duet surfaces what needs your attention, completes tasks you assign, and checks before acting on your behalf. The product page says it is powered by Opus 5.5 and currently available by waitlist to Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US; use limits are shared with Claude. It can prepare morning briefs, flag inbox and calendar items, draft replies for approval, and help with business tasks such as invoice reminders and payroll review. The page cautions that this is a research preview and Duet may misjudge urgency or miss items between checks.
