Blast is shutting down its L2: costs exceed revenue, standard withdrawals work until 26 October 2026

Blast (@blast)

First withdrawals will pause for about a week while the team unstakes its assets from Lido, then return with a 24 hour delay. After 26 October funds will remain available, but only directly through the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1, the team promises instructions in advance. The $BLAST token fell by about 17 to 20% after the news.

Check old wallets, LP positions and farming on Blast (for example Thruster, RogueX, Spacebar) and move assets to Ethereum without waiting until 26 October. For about a week withdrawals will be unavailable because of Lido. Take links only from the official @blast account: they warn about scammers around the shutdown.

What to do

  • Wait out the pause of about a week: the team first withdraws Blast assets from Lido.

  • After the pause, withdraw assets to Ethereum through the standard Blast interface, including balances in Blast PWA.

  • Act before 26 October 2026, while the standard interface works.

  • After that date, withdraw directly through the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1 following the team instructions.
