Yes. Anza says Alpenglow went live on Solana mainnet-beta on October 21, 2026, replacing TowerBFT at epoch 1064; its launch record reports 654 participating validators and a 900 ms handoff (Anza, Solana).

The roughly 150 ms figure is the upgrade’s stated finality target, down from 12.8 seconds, rather than an independently verified measurement of ongoing mainnet performance (Anza’s Alpenglow page, Solana’s upgrade page).

Solana's and CoinMarketCap's posts confirm that the launch was announced on October 21, 2026, and Solana quotes Anza's 150 ms claim. I’m checking Anza's original posts and independent current reporting to establish whether activation and the measured finality are confirmed.
Anza reports that Alpenglow went live at slot 459,653,000 in epoch 1064, while its public launch post calls 150 ms the new finality figure. These reads check Anza’s technical explanation and whether independent sources report a measured mainnet result rather than the announced figure.
Anza and Solana confirm activation; the roughly 150 ms figure is their stated target, not an independently confirmed measurement in the available sources.
