Alipay says it does not support cryptocurrency trading or related services.

It called claims that it enables crypto purchases through third-party platforms "false and unauthorized," in posts by WuBlockchain and Cointelegraph on Oct. 29.

The statement followed P2P platform Peer's announcement of beta support for buying and selling USDC with CNY payments via Alipay.

Alipay also warned users to exercise caution to protect funds and account security.

DefiantNews adds that Peer still lists Alipay as a payment method but says there is no official partnership.
