Yes. Binance confirms a security incident on Oct 29 with estimated impact around $6.3B, above early tracker figures of $5.6-5.8B, calling it potentially the largest hack ever. Entry was a compromised DevOps laptop giving access to a service container to submit unauthorized withdrawals, with no evidence of wallet private key leak.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino says Tether froze more than 1.567B USDT. Circle has not posted the freeze on its own X, but trackers and Binance put Circle at 800M+ USDC, plus ~$200M Ripple assets and smaller freezes. Binance first verified $2.54B frozen, then around $3B.

That leaves about $3.3B still movable, not a final $3.4B loss. Binance says it will cover all losses from SAFU and company funds, user funds are safe, deposits normal, withdrawals paused with resume expected within 48 hours.

Hacker wallets are still active. About $1.43B in BTC was split into 19 wallets that cannot be frozen and has not moved, while ETH from alt dumps is consolidating at 0x79e7…544A, which PeckShield shows receiving ~14,049 ETH from 7.7T PEPE and ~5,700 ETH from WBTC/USDe swaps. BTC was about $78,626 (Binance spot) and ETH about $2,245 (Binance spot) on Oct 30, down on the hack selling and liquidations.
