ZEST and Bithumb’s KRW market listing: what the listing adds and what it means for traders.
Conclusion
ZEST is Zest Protocol’s native token. Bithumb announced a Korean won spot market on 12 October 2026, with trading scheduled for 14:00 KST and deposits and withdrawals expected within two hours of the notice. The new market adds direct KRW trading access; the announcement itself does not establish a change to ZEST’s token function or protocol.
What Zest does
Zest builds Bitcoin lending and DeFi products. Its official docs describe Bitcoin Collateral Vaults for borrowing against BTC held in a Bitcoin vault, plus lending, yield vaults and swaps on Stacks. The project calls ZEST its native token, and its May token-distribution announcement states a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, allocated to community (27.83%), ecosystem development (24.82%), investors (22.35%) and team (25%). Market context
Before the scheduled Bithumb opening, ZEST already had reported USDT spot markets on MEXC, Gate and KuCoin, as well as perpetual markets on Binance and Bybit. Quotes near 02:49 UTC were about $0.21 per token, with spot prices across the reported venues between $0.21426 and $0.21577. The KRW listing adds another centralized venue and a local fiat quote, but does not by itself show that demand, liquidity or price will rise. venue quotes
