Gulf Labs as an Injective validator: what was announced and what it changes
Gulf Labs, the digital infrastructure and venture arm of Thailand's $27 billion GULF Group, is live as an institutional validator on Injective. Injective said it will also collaborate on tokenization, stablecoins and enterprise distribution. The announcement came on 8 Oct 2026 at 14:03 UTC, and Injective's own channels are the only primary source. INJ was about $6.65 on Binance spot at 17:13 UTC, down roughly 10% over 24 hours. The data does not show the news moving the price.
What Injective says
Injective's post says Gulf Labs "has selected Injective to deploy its institutional validator." The thread says it is already live, securing the network and taking part in governance from day one.
Gulf Labs will connect Injective with Thai banks, corporates and issuers exploring tokenized assets and stablecoin settlement.
Injective will also work with Binance TH. The thread describes it as a joint venture between Gulf Edge and a Binance affiliate, licensed by Thailand's Ministry of Finance and supervised by the Thai SEC.
The thread presents the deal as building on Injective's work with POSCO International and LG CNS in Korea, which settles real trade receivables onchain.

Claims from secondary sources
BSCNews says Gulf Labs controls 24 GW of electricity generation capacity and 46 million mobile users. It also cites market access through Binance TH and the SEC-regulated M-INJ fund in Thailand.
One community account, Yaaaati_M1, says Injective will get access to Gulf Edge data centers and AI compute. I did not see this in the text I could read, so treat it as unconfirmed.
Other accounts, such as World100x and cryptodotnews, repeat the announcement. They add no independent confirmation.
What is not confirmed
The collaboration is described as something to "explore." No stablecoin issuance, tokenized product, launch date or financial terms were published.
The amount of INJ staked or delegated to the Gulf Labs validator is not stated.
The news arrived alongside other INJ items the same day: a new whitepaper and three pending US INJ ETF filings.
