ZKsync’s Airbender Prime is a RISC-V-based Ethereum prover using hash-based STARKs; ZKsync says one NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell proved 99% of 7,200 consecutive Ethereum mainnet blocks in under 10 seconds each, with every block under 12 seconds including witness preparation (ZKsync’s announcement).
“Real-time” here means the reported proof-generation time was under the roughly 12-second interval between Ethereum blocks for that test set. It does not mean every block was proved in under 10 seconds, since the post says 99%, or that the GPU ran a live production prover. The claim is ZKsync’s benchmark, not an independently established result in the available sources.
The system combines GKR sumcheck, WHIR polynomial commitments and BLAKE2s hashing; for L1 proofs it says it will use Keccak-256 commitments instead of BN254 pairings. ZKsync describes the design as post-quantum oriented and says it includes a standalone verifier for independent proof checking (ZKsync’s announcement).
