Binance says it has reserved over $6.34B in company funds to cover the hack, with $5B already held in the exact impacted token assets, per Binance.
It says it is buying the remaining shortfall in matching token assets through market and OTC channels, warning this can take longer on low-liquidity tokens and OTC settlement.
It says the reserve figures exclude frozen assets, with currently $3B frozen with industry partners, being pursued with partners and law enforcement.
It says it has begun recovering affected assets for users, will keep covering confirmed shortfall from company resources, and will verify all user funds publicly via Proof of Reserves.
