The posts refer to the Oct 29 Binance hot-wallet hack, estimated at around $6.3B and described by Binance as involving a compromised DevOps laptop with about $3B frozen so far.

Binance says it reserved over $6.34B in company funds to cover losses and that user funds are safe, per Binance, with withdrawals paused for a security revamp.

The CZ quote is real, from his Oct 30 post: $6.3B is biggest in USD terms but not in BTC terms, Mt. Gox was 650,000 BTC, then "Obviously, still a major disaster for the industry, Binance (and me). It hurts, but we survive."

So WatcherGuru, CryptoTweets and others accurately quote him, while calling it the largest heist in history repeats Binance's framing, CZ himself notes Mt. Gox was larger in BTC and share of supply.
