EU regulators question Binance: exchange serves Europeans without MiCA license through "reverse solicitation"

Binance (@binance)

According to FT, ESMA and supervisory authorities in France, Germany and Greece are checking whether Binance lawfully uses this exemption after the requirement to wind down operations in the EU from 1 July 2026. Some authorities have already requested data from the exchange. If the answers are not satisfactory, FT sources speak of possible fines, but neither a fine nor a new order exists yet. Binance states that it complies with the requirements and is seeking a MiCA license.
