On Oct. 29, 2026, Polymarket said its international platform Polymarket.com was affected after a third party provider was compromised. It said it identified and fixed the issue and referred it to law enforcement, in its post.

Out of caution it temporarily halted trading, going to cancel only mode with relayer actions paused, then resumed after about an hour. Trading was later reported fully back online.

Polymarket promised anyone impacted "will be made whole" and later said it would fully reimburse affected traders. Payout timing is not confirmed.

The provider was not named officially and no official loss figure was given. Unofficial estimates cited about $2.2M to $2.65M, with user reports of drained wallets. The U.S. platform did not appear affected.
