DWF Labs and Falcon Digital v. BitGo: what is alleged and whether it is evidenced

The claim is a $141 million damages suit in London's High Court. So far it is backed only by a secondhand press report, and nothing independent confirms or refutes it.

What is alleged

Per the Financial Times, as relayed by Wu Blockchain on 2026-10-09, DWF Labs affiliates DWF Maas and Falcon Digital sued the custodian BitGo. They say BitGo breached OTC agreements by selling Falcon Finance (FF) and ESPORTS tokens before the lock-ups expired. The agreements had a three-month lock-up and then further vesting restrictions. The plaintiffs say the sales pushed prices down and cut the value of their remaining holdings. A Russian-language digest adds that BitGo bought the tokens at a discount and allegedly moved them to exchanges about two months before the first unlock. That detail comes from a summary and is not in the Wu Blockchain text.

Status

BitGo declined to comment. The reports state that the allegations are unproven in court. Posts on X mention World Liberty Financial's business ties to DWF, but they say it is not a defendant. I found no statement from DWF, Falcon or BitGo, and no published claim form.

Is it supported by evidence?

  • Every item I found traces back to the one FT story. The FT page could not be opened, so the contract terms, the sale dates and the way the $141M was calculated are not visible.

  • I did not check the on-chain side. No BitGo wallet or transfer to an exchange has been identified in public sources, so the "early sales" cannot be confirmed or refuted from chain data.

  • The price-impact claim is hard to test from market data alone. FF now trades near $0.106 on PancakeSwap. ESPORTS (Yooldo Games) trades near $0.0103 on Uniswap, with a market cap of about $1.7M. A $141M claim is far above ESPORTS' entire market cap, so most of it would have to rest on FF. The breakdown is not published.

Context

DWF and Falcon appear closely tied. Falcon thanked DWF for hosting an event at Token2049 on 2026-10-07, and DWF's managing partner has posted about Falcon's USDf. The dispute is therefore between a custodian and a counterparty with a large stake in these tokens. The sources do not name the OTC sale dates, the amounts, or BitGo's response.

Next steps

Watch for the claim form or a court listing, for a BitGo or DWF statement, and for BitGo wallet transfers of FF or ESPORTS to exchanges.
