MoonPayTrust Wallet

Subject and verdict

The announcement says Trust Wallet's US users can now buy crypto with cards and Apple Pay inside the app, powered by MoonPay Headless Ramps. The core claim holds: both companies announced it themselves on 2026-10-07, and Trust Wallet published a blog post. The superlative "best fully embedded fiat onramp" is MoonPay's own marketing. Fees, limits, supported states and assets are not in the material read.

What was announced

  • MoonPay, 13:02 UTC: the onramp is "now live in @TrustWallet" and US traders can fund an account with cards and Apple Pay "without ever leaving the Trust Wallet app".

  • Trust Wallet, 14:18 UTC: users connect their MoonPay account once, save a preferred card and buy in a few clicks. Its blog post, dated 2026-10-07, says US users can buy "through a faster, more seamless experience built directly into the Trust Wallet app".

  • BSCNews, 14:54 UTC repeats the news and adds that KYC, payment storage and delivery of the crypto all happen in-app, with no web redirect. It is a relay of the announcement, not independent verification. It also says "debit cards", which the two companies' posts do not say; they say "cards".

What it means

  • Headless means MoonPay supplies only the payment, compliance and identity back end through an API, and the wallet builds the checkout screens itself. MoonPay launched Headless Onramps in May 2026 (as reported by Wu Blockchain) and named Trust Wallet among example partners. Trust Wallet's go-live is therefore the delivery of a previously signalled integration.

  • The user still holds a MoonPay account, so KYC and card data sit with MoonPay and not with the self-custody wallet. Trust Wallet's post says the user connects their MoonPay account.

  • Trust Wallet already sold crypto through MoonPay. Its blog lists Cash App Pay via MoonPay checkout from 2026-08-19 for eligible US customers. The new release moves card and Apple Pay purchases from that checkout flow into the app itself.

  • It fits a MoonPay pattern. Headless Ramps were announced for ether.fi on 2026-10-06, for Tempo Wallet in July, and for BitPay in June. The ether.fi rollout was said to come "over the coming months", while the Trust Wallet integration is stated as live now.

  • The audience is US only. No other region is mentioned in the posts or blog excerpt.

Not established

Neither company's posts give fees, purchase limits, eligible states, supported coins or whether the flow reaches all US users at once. No independent user reports of a working purchase were found. The announcement has been live only a few hours, so check the in-app flow before relying on it.
