Aave Labs has acquired the team and technology behind Avon to push into fixed-rate onchain lending.

Aave confirmed the deal on Nov 6, 2026, calling Avon one of the leading teams working on fixed-rate lending onchain, with full details here.

Avon had built fixed-rate and floating-rate lending markets plus an onchain order book for lending, aimed at bringing global credit-market depth onchain.

As part of the deal, founder Prince Sinha and Ayush Kaul join Aave Labs engineering, and Omar el-Ashaal joins business development to build fixed-rate lending and other new loan capabilities.

Aave framed it as expanding beyond floating-rate pools: fixed borrowing costs are easier to plan around and more attractive to institutions, fintechs and mainstream users.

The acquisition includes Avon's protocols, onchain order book, domains and related assets, which the team will keep developing inside the Aave ecosystem under Aave Labs.

Financial terms, integration timeline and any new revenue for the Aave DAO were not disclosed in the announcement.
