A Polygon Labs validators support member (Parvez03) posted a PIP on Nov 4 proposing a coordinated Polygon PoS hard fork to zero the native POL balances of 5 blocked attacker addresses and credit the same amounts to recovery addresses named by Polymarket and Binance, in the forum proposal.
It covers about 70.49M POL: about 23.86M POL across 4 Polymarket addresses, led by 0xe4C4…41EC6 with 15,331,308.29 POL, plus 0x5392…9962C, 0xc91e…19b60 and 0x3f70…1Ffa, and about 46.63M POL in Binance address 0x5227…2f8c. The stated reason is that block producers blocked the addresses after the Oct 29-30 hacks, but a block list cannot return funds.
The fork would move full balances at a future block F to Polymarket recovery 0x3dcE…D952 and Binance recovery 0xd9fd…0b80, with supply unchanged. It still needs governance approval, Amoy rehearsal, and client release, with presentation Nov 5. The PIP values 70.49M POL at about $6.5M at $0.0924; POL now quotes near $0.0974 on Binance spot, per exchange quotes.
