Ripple publicly welcomed it minutes later saying it built on the XRP Ledger for over a decade alongside thousands of others post. Community posts add that the bio calls XRP the native token of the XRP Ledger built for payments and links xrp.org. No purchase of the handle by a foundation is confirmed in these sources, only joint management.
